wonder, creativity and wonderment

wonder births questions
questions birth creativity
creativity births wonderment

The cycle of creation begins with wonder

What exactly wonders?
Not ‘me’, not ‘you’!
Life Itself wonders, and billions of bubbles of sentience (felt as ‘I’-ness) explore its questions in billions of different ways.

The questions will always generate creativity in one form or another, but it takes a ripening awareness for creativity to birth wonderment.

Whose ripening awareness?
Not ‘mine’, not ‘yours’!
It’s a natural ripening without subject or object, without knower or known; a flowering that’s conclusion-free and that operates outside of time.

racetrack – gracetrack

121

Racetrack?

person running for their life,
keeping ahead of the competition
imagining the joys of winning,
accomplishing, achieving,
and the misery of failure,
fearful of the finishing line
which denotes the end to their
participation in the human
race  w h e w

Gracetrack?

no separate person
no separate others
no competition or race
no fear or fantasy
no shoulds or suffering
no birth or death

just the sweet, mellow, peaceful
graciousness
of Life’s unfolding
in total fulfillment  a h h h h

one vast transparent eye

81

‘eye-I’ melts into the world
as one
vast transparent eye

‘me-mind’ constantly tries
to drape its veils of memory-weave
over the vastness

yet – not so constantly now…
less and less often
and with notable absence of conflict

the idea of ‘my-me’ fades
‘eye-I’ flowers
and this flowering is all there is

the delight of a ‘be’ set free

70

what if the little verb ‘to be’
woke up one fine morning
and realized that it was a homeless orphan?
what if its job description had been
modified overnight without consultation?
what if it was now relieved from its
personal applications, redundant,
only useful as a conventional
figure of speech?

no one to be asleep
no one to be wakened
no world to be an illusion
no void to be empty
no emptiness to be filled
no form to be found
no happiness to be chased
no suffering to be escaped
no purpose to be discovered
no meaning to be understood

what a shock that would be for a very busy ‘be’
after a lifetime of endlessly and earnestly
running around doing its determined duties
and always avoiding that inevitable destiny
of coming to a halt and remembering
how to simply be

recovery would take a while
but it too would come to pass as effortlessly
as bloom those flowers
that neither spin nor sew

oh the delight of a ‘be’ set free!
