the human condition is what we are

200

The marvelous movie called the world is liberally cast with actors who refuse to acknowledge their role as actors.

They love to advise the few who have had a peek behind the scene at the screenplay that they are “in denial of their human condition.”

Yet those so accused see clearly that it is thanks to their resistance-free immersion in that “human condition” (not avoidance of it, healing of it, or even understanding of it) that they have awakened in the midst of the movie.

And their awakening reveals that they and the “human condition” are not subject and object.  The human condition is not what we inhabit or endure.  It’s what we are.
