Yes, quite agree. Even though to be born as a human being is a unique opportunity, “hard to obtain”, as it is stated in Buddhism.
I wonder. The ‘unique opportunity’ is a razor’s edge concept. It can solidify a self-idea, as well as put fire under the inquiry. I have to stick with what’s directly knowable. Concepts have their place but … in the end, who or what actually KNOWS?

So true Darla – the core question is really the issue of ‘need’ – regardless of what it targets – there’s this sense of lack, and need jumps in to save the day! That’s why action taken to be ‘not special’ is still insidious, just a little more subtle …
